Summary

Seven years after the events of Dragon Ball Z, Earth is at peace, and its people live free from any dangers lurking in the universe. However, this peace is short-lived; a sleeping evil awakens in the dark reaches of the galaxy: Beerus, the ruthless God of Destruction.

Finally, the Tournament of Power starts, and each warrior rushes to fight another, quickly filling the entire battle arena with energy lights and sounds of conflict. In the ensuing turmoil, Universe 7 stays united, but Goku notices Top battling with Magetta and flies off to attack him, but he is stopped by Ganos. Gohan tries to remind Goku of their cooperative approach, but Androids 17, 18, Vegeta, and Frieza also take a flight to engage in combat. Heles of Universe 2 remarks that it's not attractive for her female warriors to be attacked before they transform, and Narirama, a modified robot warrior from Universe 3, spins himself around to knock several fighters away. This technique is known as "Super Survival Mode" by the Universe 3 gods.
